Quinta do Barbusano, Lda

Localizado na costa norte da ilha, consiste em vinhedos com certa altitude de várias castas produzindo vinhos brancos, rosés e tintos. O Verdelho é a casta mais importante, com vinhos brancos de alta qualidade, embora os tintos sejam cada vez mais exigidos. Nos últimos anos, esse produtor investiu em uma oferta turística diferenciada, construindo um lagar tradicional em suas instalações, que permite receber turistas e servir aperitivos e até algumas refeições, para acompanhar a degustação de seus vinhos. E, durante as colheitas, existe até a possibilidade de pisar a pé, o que é sempre uma curiosidade. A paisagem é magnífica, com as montanhas do litoral norte lá em cima, intercaladas por vales suaves que levam grande parte da água abundante para o mar.

Located on the Northern coast of the island, it consists of vineyards with some altitude of various grape varieties producing white, rosé and red wines. Verdelho is the most important grape variety, with high-quality white wines, although the reds have been increasingly demanded. Over the last few years, this producer has invested in a differentiated tourist offer, by building a traditional wine press in its facilities, which allows to receive tourists and serve appetisers and even some meals, to accompany the tasting of its wines. And, during the harvests, there is even the possibility of treading on foot, which is always a curiosity. The landscape is magnificent, with the mountains of the northern coast up there, interspersed with gentle valleys that take much of the abundant water to the sea.
