XVIII Madeira Gastronomic Brotherhood


Dear sisters and brothers,

Madeira Gastronomic Brotherhood

whish you, your family and friends a joyfull Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
We are grateful for your friendship and hope to see you soon! Hopefully in April at our 18th Big Chapter.
(Check the provisional programme below, the dates are fixed but some locations and schedule may changes)

You all are invited to participate!

18th Big Chapter
The Madeiran Meat Academy  
Madeira Gastronomic Brotherhood

Programme – Provisional, the dates are fixed but some locations and schedule may changes.

Friday, April 27th
  6:30 pm - Gathering of brotherhoods at Praça do Município (Funchal).
                Departure by bus to Ribeira Brava.
  8:00 pm - Welcome dinner (will be announced).

Saturday, April 28th
  9:30 am - Gathering of brotherhoods at Praça do Município (Funchal).
10:00 am - Reception by Funchal Municipality Mayor.
10:30 am - Parade in Funchal city to Mercado dos Lavradores (market).
11:00 am - Guided visit to Mercado dos Lavradores with welcome drink 
12:00 pm - Free time for lunch.
  5:00 pm - Gathering of brotherhoods at Funchal Pier for a Catamaran Trip with 
                  the possibility to see whales, dolphins among a magnificent sunset. 
  8:30 pm - Dinner at Mercado dos Lavradores.

Sunday, April 29th
  9:00 am - Gathering of brotherhoods at Praça do Município (Funchal). 
                  Departure by bus to Convent São Bernardino in Câmara de Lobos.
  9:30 am - Mass at the Convent São Bernardino.
11:00 am - Parade in Câmara de Lobos city center.
12:00 pm - 18th Grand Chapter Ceremony at Museu da Imprensa da Madeira,
                    in Câmara de Lobos
  2:00 pm - Brotherhood Lunch in restaurant Adega da Quinta, 
                   at Quinta do Estreito Vintage House.

Monday, April 30th, (no costume required)
  9:00 am - Gathering of brotherhoods at Praça do Município (Funchal). 
                  Bus tour around the Madeira Island with tipical Madeiran lunch at
                  Porto Moniz (well known for its basaltic natural pools).

Value per participant: 150,00 € 
This amount doesn´t includes the catamaran trip (soon we will inform the extra).
